Stallone’s Grandmaster Chime is estimated to range between $2.5 million and $5 million, but experts anticipate it will exceed these figures.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stallone’s longstanding passion for Patek watches is well-documented, as he disclosed in a video shared by Sotheby’s.
He recounted the tale of acquiring his Grandmaster Chime by personally writing to the company’s board, who agreed to sell it to him.
The «Cobra» star initially acquired the watch as a collector’s piece, likening its significance to that of a Monet painting “work of art.”
Stallone’s Grandmaster Chime remains untouched, preserved in its original packaging, accompanied by paperwork and a lavish presentation box bearing the actor’s name.
He has included two other Patek Philippe timepieces from his collection in the auction.
