On September 20th, Giraldo Real Estate Group hosted Art for Impact, an event focused on raising mental health awareness and funds for local programs. Held at the Giraldo Real Estate office in Center City, the event was organized in partnership with Michael’s Giving H.A.N.D., an organization that provides support for adolescents dealing with anxiety and depression.

The event featured more than 50 pieces of art from 8 local artists, including Yetha Buckley, Juan Gomez, Jamie Joy, Ayiana Viviana, Pedro Fuller, Gabriela Gil, Roldan West, and Alberto Becerra, who also curated the exhibition. The showcased artwork aimed to raise awareness about mental health issues through various forms of visual expression. The event attracted over 130 attendees from the local community.

In addition to the art exhibit, the evening included captivating live performances. Lili Ruiz performed an emotional flamenco dance, while Emily Sierra delivered a lively Latin saxophone performance, adding vibrant cultural elements to the night and enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

One of the event’s key achievements was its fundraising effort. $10,000 was raised, with all proceeds going to Michael’s Giving H.A.N.D. The funds will be used to support the organization’s Educational Outreach Program, which educates students, parents, and educators about mental health, and its Adolescent Mental Health Counseling Programs, which provide counseling services for teenagers facing mental health challenges.

Carlos Giraldo, CEO of Giraldo Real Estate Group, spoke about the significance of the event, noting that it brought together art, community, and support for an important cause. «Mental health affects everyone,» Giraldo said, «and as real estate professionals, we have a unique opportunity to connect with our community in meaningful ways.»

The Art for Impact event is expected to become an annual tradition, continuing to support mental health initiatives in the Philadelphia area while bringing together artists, community members, and advocates for a night of art and advocacy.
