Uriel is a pioneer in the Spanish language communications industry here in Philadelphia. Arriving from Puerto Rico in the early 80s and after graduating from Temple University with a degree in Marketing and communications, he went on to work and developed Radio Borinquen, and WTEL Spanish radio.
He later went on to be part of the team of media innovators that brought Telemundo and Univision to the region. He also was part of the team that re-branded La Mega Radio and launched El Zol Radio in 2011.
Uriel also has a long history in community service, having been part of the group of socially responsible entrepreneurs that created the Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in many other CDCs and community organizations throughout the years.
He comes to us with a commitment of service to the community and specifically the underserved and often unheard Latino small business community.
Uriel also will be contributing to our editorial content with a weekly column highlining local business and advocating for Latino entrepreneurial empowerment.
