Hispanic Heritage Month at Esperanza Academy was a beautiful display of cultural pride, community, learning, and fun! Students and staff learned about the significant contributions of Hispanic/Latino Americans through daily morning announcements and classroom activities while immersing themselves in the culture through dance, music, art, and food.

Dr. Evelyn Nuñez, CEO/Superintendent of Esperanza Academy, shared her reflections on the festivities: “It was truly inspiring to see the cultural pride and ownership displayed by our students and staff during our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. A special thank you to our families who generously contributed an amazing variety of foods for our events, many of them home-cooked. I love to see our community come together to honor and share our rich cultural traditions. I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the Esperanza Academy staff for the incredible work they do every day. Their dedication to celebrating our students’ cultures and incorporating them into daily teaching and learning experiences ensures that this spirit of inclusion and cultural appreciation thrives all year long.”
